Advance Paediatric Life Support (APLS)was organised by the Paediatric chapter of MMA under the directorship of Dr. Jeremy Raftos, paediatric emergency physician, women’s and children’s hospital, Adelaide.
APLS covers various aspects of emergency paediatrics including resuscitation, illness and injury. It is a 3 day course from 13th to 15th August 2015. The support content of the course is covered in the APLS handbook which is provided by the team. The faculty for the Course is from Australia and Sri Lanka.

After the Earth quake hit Nepal, MMA has been actively working on trying to establish contact with the Maldivian students and families in Nepal in trying to bring them to safety zones. We were collaborating with Ministry of Health & ministry of Foreign Affairs to bring them back to Male’.
We have established connection and are working with MRC (Maldivian Red Crescent) and Maldivian Media and have started our fundraising programs. Appearing on different TV, Radio channels and giving information on online media.
MMA and MRC are also providing Psycho social support for the Nepali migrants in Maldives and Maldivian students and their families returned from Nepal. These programs are conducted at Sultan Park from 1830 hrs to 2200 hrs. There is also a hotline for those who are unable to go and those who would like to talk and share their stories 7432225

All MMA members are invited for a dinner on the occasion of Maldivian doctors day.

We encourage all our members to participate by being there at the dinner.
As part of Doctors day celebrations there will be a bike rally in Hulhumale followed by breakfast.
